Day 2 and 3 of Grandma's Girl Party 2009

WOW!! Lagoon a Beach!! Oh what fun!!!

Day 2 saw Aspen, Autumn, Hailey and Harmony go off to Day Camp while Grandma and Paige got to spend some time bonding with Everett and Oakley. No pictures available so just imagine all the Day 2 fun.

DAY 3 Saw Grandma and the Girls at Lagoon. This was like the old days when you stay at the Lagoon Campground and spend from opening to closing at the park. The following Pictures are the evidence of a fun Day 3 at Lagoon

2009 Grandma's Girl Party Day 1

Day 1 began with Grandma meeting Jen, Paige and Hailey in Ogden. The girls went with Grandma to Todd's to watch Aspen and Autumn in a Swim Meet. What fun to have race winners.

Memorial Day 2009

What a great weekend! We make it to Star Valley and had a great time. As you can see below, two cousins that are best friends. Check out Everett's hair. He has come a long ways since the Chemo treatments and lost hair.

We went on a hike up Cedar Creek Canyon. There is a pipe that goes underground up the canyon and it comes out in this pond. We put sticks in the pipe and waited for them to come up in the pond.

Aspen found that snail hunting was lots of fun. She found lots, but did not want them for dinner.

Cousins that really like each other. What fun they have together. The best part was the final plans of Grandma's Girl Party and the Boy Party.

What a great Storm Trooper. The people at the putting green were really impressed with a Storm Trooper, Darth Vader, and Spiderman putting on the green at Star Valley Ranch.

Then there was the swimming pool. Lot's of fun and what beautiful scenry surrounding the pool.

Even Grandma and Oakley are having a great time.

We even tried some fishing. The grandkids confirmed that "Fishing is boring - Catching is Fun"

What a great time together. This is the best part of being back in Star Valley. The family loves to come back and have a great time. It is really great to be together as a family. The best part is enjoying the friendships and love together.

Early Memorial Day May 17

We knew we would be in Star Valley on Memorial Day, so we went to Ogden on Sunday afternoon to visit the graves. The monument below is Grandpa and Grandma E.T. Saunders. This is Dad's tombstone. It was our first time back since the funeral. The headstone looks really great.

Life seems so short. Our eternal life is everlasting. Our Father has set a really great example for us. Dad was a wonderful person. We only hope we can have such a good life.

Star Valley Three Weeks Later

When we left Star Valley on April 11th there was over 3 feet of snow as you can see on the previous Blogs. We returned on April 30th, less than 3 weeks later and look whats left. Yes the snow has disappeared.

Even so nice they are mowing the green.

Now the fun starts. It's time to work on the landscaping.

Shoshone Falls

The weekend of April 18th we had to go to Boise for a meeting. While there we were told that the Shoshone Falls were getting the second highest flow on record. They said you have to stop and see it.

As you can see below they are really big.

Even an Elk Ranch on the way down into the canyon.
