Spring Break in Star Valley

Last summer off the deck looking at the green. What a difference a few months can make.

And why is the railing missing? See the pile of snow below that was pushed off the deck. When we got here on Friday night there was almost 2 feet of new wet snow since two weeks ago.

Beautiful snow covered mountains?
Jen, Paige and Hailey came Saturday afternoon and stayed until Sunday evening. What a great weekend.

Jace and Carter's cave by the drive way.
Hailey can catch some major air on the dirt pile. Looks pretty awesome huh?

Lots of snow and fun riding. It was hard enough to go anywhere and not get stuck.
Fun girls enjoying the great sunsine.

Oh ya the cave is big enough to crawl in.

See Hailey fits all the way inside. What fun!!!!

See how deep the snow is on April 5th?

There is not any golfing in Star Valley for spring break. With snow this deep how can you hide your Easter Eggs? Oh Well, it was nearly 50 degrees and sunny today. Who says your can't get sunburned in the snow?

March 22nd in Star Valley

What a beautiful weekend. The weather was great, but can you believe all this snow at the end of March. I do think it melted down about a foot this week.
The gravel section between the road and the driveway was covered with about 8 inches of ice last weekend. Now it is gone.

Still about a foot of snow on the front roof. The water is really running off.

We even got out cross country sking a couple of times.

March 3rd in Star Valley

I stayed in Star Valley on Monday, March 2nd on my way to Pinedale. There was only a couple of inches of snow to clean off, but it had been melting and thee was an inch of ice on the driveway.
As you can see the snow is now as high as the top of the car.
In think when Jace and Carter were here for President's Day they were building a snow cave. You can see it in front of the car.

President's Day Weekend

We were in Idaho Falls during President's Day Weekend. On Monday morning the fog lifted and the river and frost was beautiful. Always better in real life than in the pictures.

Even the falls were frozen.

Make a Wish !!!

Make a Wish - what a fantastic program. Because of his life threatening Lukemia Cancer, Everett was granted a WISH. Because he likes camping with this family, he wished for a pop up camp trailer.

He went to the Wishing Room and placed his wish in the Wish Cone below. The Wishing Room was awesome with a water fall and lighted wish trail to follow. The cousins all loved being in the wishing room with Everett.

It was pretty exciting that his wish was granted on Saturday before his Birthday on Monday. He will be 5 years old.
The cousins all got to make picture frames while they were waiting for the program to begin. What Fun!!
Everettt was introduced and received some presents before going outside to see his WISH. What a fun trailer. It will be a great summer.
Below is the Make a Wish Building. What a great facility for such a great program.

Even Gramdma Saunders is ready to Camp with Everett, even though Grandpa perfers the Holiday Inn.

You don't realize how great this Make a Wish Program is until you have an experience with it. Since Everett has experienced the Primary Childrens Hospital and Make a Wish, we are much closer to these organizations. Life is short, enjoy it everyday!!!

National Wildlife Elk Refuge in Jackson Hole Wyoming

The Pinedale Wells Fargo Office had their Holiday Party at the Wildlife Refuge in Jackson. We were able to have a great time on the sleigh ride through the elk herds.
