Thanksgiving 2008

Well we spent our first Thanksgiving in the new home. The highlights were completing shelving, getting Christmas Trees, decorating ours, and a great Thanksgiving Dinner.

This is the tree that we cut for the Star Valley Home. Shane's family and the Kirkam's also cut trees.

Once we finished cutting the trees, we were able to find enough snow to do some sliding down the hill. Lots of fun.

Who would have thought 6 sets of shelves would have take 2 weekends to finally put together. They ended up being pretty good and will work fine, but what a job.

It was a great Holiday weekend in Star Valley. We are looking forward to Christmas and having the whole family there. Hopefully there will be a little more snow for some outdoor fun.

Ready for Thanksgiving

Carter and Jace came to Star Valley with Craig on Friday Night. The blinds were installed last week. These are pink bubble wraps that the blinds were protected in for shipping. Carter and Jace decided that they were great to jump off the stairs and pop.
Then it was time to play ball. What fun.

The biggest project of the weekend was the installation of the flat screen TV. It took about 4 hours and a trip to the hardware store, but it works. We should have Direct TV by Christmas.
You can notice the blinds in the background. Joyce is really happy with the way they turned out.
We moved the dining room table from Green River so we can have Thanksgiving. If you come to Green River you have to eat off the patio table.

Marvin Saunders Funeral

Isn't family what makes life worth it. What great smiles on Todd and Oakley. The Military Honors were pretty impressive for a Retired Lt. Colonel. Thanks Dad for helping to perserve our Freedom.
Grandson's served as Pallbearers.

Even our Halloween Storm Trooper stopped by the viewing.

Dad had a great life and we are very proud of his accomplishments. Best of all was the Love that Dad had for his family. We will miss him, but know that he is in a better place and we can be with him again.

First Night in the New Home

What a difference a week can make. This was the weekend of October 12th. The rest are the next weekend and there were lots of golfers going by.

Our first night in our new house was October 17th, following the final inspection and occupancy permit the previous day. We don't have much furniture, but it is a great place to stay.

This is looking South across the back of the house. You can see the 10th Green in the background.

Looking off the deck at the green and the valley.
Out the backyard there is a beautiful view of Cedar Creek Canyon. Also to the right is the 10th Fairway.

We still have windows to wash, hardware and blinds to install, but we are beginning to move in. Come and visit when you get a chance.

New Carpet - Nearly Done

The carpet was completed this week and the home really looks finished. There are a few odds and ends to finish up for the final inspection on Thursday.
The master shower stall and bathroom mirrors were done this week.
Master bedroom.

Big basement room.

Yes and there was snow this weekend.

We hope to take up some beds when we go this weekend. We have some extensive cleaning inside and outside to get done.
