Final Electrical

Too pretty outside to work in the house. Right Hailey?
I know there are more lights here, but where are they.
Ouch!! They said the power was turned off. Todd doing thermostats.
I know we can fix this says Paige and Grandma.
Grandma is supervising upstairs while Craig works downstairs.
It will sure be nice to get this done so we can enjoy the golf course.

Not only lights, but check out the paint colors. The painting is all done.
Yes even Grandpa installed 30-40 outlets. Its a good thing I don't do it for a living and get paid by the outlet. I would only make about $1.00 per hour.
We got the inside of the house done except the ceiling fan in the living room. We forgot to buy an extension for the vaulted ceiling. We still have most of the garage and exterior outlets. We plan on finishing that next weekend. We are anxious to see the cabinets and granite that should go in this week. It is really coming together better than expected.
Thanks to Shane, Paige, Hailey, Todd and Craig for all your hard work.

Sept 20 Update

Well we made a quick trip to Star Valley to take up some electrical supplies. We are planning to do the finish electrical (hanging lights etc.) next weekend. There seems like a lot to do for one weekend.

These are some exterior pictures that show what a great job the excavator did moving the dirt around. I think the grades are just what we wanted. It is difficult when you are not there to oversee it.

The painters started Wednesday and have everything but the garage primed. They hope to be done by Wednesday.

Wednesday was Deck Railing

The finish carpenter completed the cubbies and hooks along the South wall of the basement. They look really great.
The colors are starting to turn on the mountain side. Wait until the quakies turn yellow.

Thanks to Shane and Jen the deck railing was completed yesterday. It looks really great.

The painters showed up yesterday and said that they would be done next week. It is getting better every time we go up. Next project for us is the 26th to finish the electric and lights installation.

More work in Star Valley this week

The fireplaces were rocked this week. The first one is upstairs and the second is downstairs. We did not expect the rock to go above the mantel, but as you can see it looks good.
The tile is all installed but some still needs grout. Below is the master tub and the shower next to it. Joyce is happy with her tile selection. If she is happy, I am extatic.

The rock is done on the front of the house and the garage doors are intalled.

If you look closely in the picture above, the manhole cover you can see is the top if the underground propane tank. The excavator ran over it and broke the propane valve. We are still waiting for the heat to paint this week.

Another Day in Star Valley

OK another Saturday of work in Star Valley. Shane's family and Craig joined us for another work day. Below our 2 master technicians are replacing the temporary front door with the new permanent door per Joyce's choice. Tile installation began this week and should be done this next week.
The stucco was completed this week and the rock should be done next week.

We did some more work on the deck. Our Home Make Over female crew did the stairs on the deck.

A special thanks to Craig and Shane this week for their help. Oh yes, also Jen, Paige, Hailey and Grandma. It will sure be nice to just go up and enjoy the fun things in Star Valley.

Well it has been a long time since we updated the blog on the new SVR Home. These pictures are as of August 29th. The past month has been a lot of inside work that doesn't show much. Now the sheet rock is done, and the finish carpentry is well underway.
Above is Grandma's Play Room under the stairs. Check out the split door for little people to enter.

The stucco is underway on the outside and the deck has trex on it. We bought the lights this weekend. We are really getting excited. Hope to have it done by mid October.
